What are the key facts about SkyCrown?
Who runs SkyCrown and what licence does it hold?
SkyCrown is run by Metlait SRL, a company registered in Costa Rica (registration number 3-102-911867). The footer and the terms both say Metlait operates under e-gaming licence No. 0000064 from the Tobique Gaming Commission.
Industry media reported that SkyCrown launched in 2022 under Hollycorn N.V. and a Curaçao licence.
If support cannot fix a complaint, the terms name EGIS as the dispute body under the Tobique regulator. Otherwise disputes go to arbitration in Costa Rica, and claims must be filed within one year. Our guide on whether you can sue a casino for not paying out explains what that means in practice.
Is SkyCrown blocked in Australia?
Yes. skycrown.com and twelve numbered versions of it (skycrown1.com, skycrown2.com, skycrown4.com to skycrown10.com, skycrown12.com and skycrown13.com) are on ACMA’s list of blocked illegal gambling websites. We do not recommend using a mirror site or a VPN to get around a block.
SkyCrown’s own terms do not list Australia as a restricted country, and the bonuses are marked “only players from Australia are eligible”. The same terms say VPNs used to bypass geographic restrictions are “strictly prohibited and may lead to confiscation of winnings”.
The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 bans operators from offering online casino games to people in Australia. Playing is not an offence for you as a player, but every online casino that accepts Australians, including SkyCrown, is an offshore site operating outside Australian law. ACMA has blocked more than 1,800 illegal gambling websites. Our guide on whether online gambling is legal in Australia explains the rules.
How fast does SkyCrown pay out?
SkyCrown’s FAQ says withdrawal requests are processed within an hour, but the binding terms only promise processing “within 72 hours of approval”. After that, the FAQ says most payments arrive straight away and some methods take 1 to 3 working days. Bank transfers are processed within 3 business days.
Verification is the real bottleneck. Withdrawals stay pending until KYC is done, and SkyCrown may ask for a phone call or a video of you holding your ID. Our guide on how to make a casino withdrawal explains what to prepare.
Withdrawal limits in AUD are the same for every player:
Single crypto withdrawals are capped at A$6,000 and MiFinity at A$4,000. Progressive jackpot wins are paid in full.
What withdrawal rules should you know before you deposit?
Four rules in SkyCrown’s terms can cost you money:
- Wager your deposit three times: otherwise SkyCrown can charge a processing fee or refuse the withdrawal.
- Answer the phone: if SkyCrown cannot reach you within two weeks for verification, your account is locked and the withdrawal cancelled.
- Do not leave money in a dormant account: after 12 months without logging in or playing, SkyCrown can take A$50 a month, or the whole balance if it is less.
- Do not use a VPN: the terms allow SkyCrown to confiscate winnings if you use one to get around geographic restrictions.
Bank transfer withdrawals can also attract intermediary bank fees of up to €16, which SkyCrown does not cover. Our guide to online casino withdrawal problems covers what to do if a payout stalls.
Which payment methods can Australians use at SkyCrown?
SkyCrown accepts AUD and lists cards, MiFinity, vouchers, crypto and PayID, but PayID works for deposits only. Several deposit methods cannot be used for withdrawals, so plan your way out before you deposit.
If you want to withdraw by PayID too, see our list of PayID casinos in Australia.
What is the SkyCrown welcome bonus really worth?
The first-deposit bonus is 120% up to A$1,200 plus 125 free spins, using the code CLASSY and a minimum deposit of A$30. It is the first of four deposit bonuses worth up to A$8,000 and 400 free spins in total. Skrill, Neteller and crypto deposits do not qualify.
With a A$100 deposit, you get A$120 in bonus money, a A$220 balance and A$4,800 in wagering (40 x A$120) within 14 days. On pokies with 96% RTP, the expected loss is about A$192, which leaves roughly A$28 on average. Wagering on the bonus only is fairer than many offshore offers, but a long list of excluded pokies and the A$7.50 bet cap make it easy to break a rule. Treat it as extra playing time, not as money you are likely to withdraw.
The second to fourth deposit bonuses are 100% up to A$1,300, 80% up to A$1,500 and 150% up to A$4,000.
What games does SkyCrown offer?
SkyCrown says it has more than 7,000 games from leading studios, with BGaming, Redgenn, Netgame, Platipus and Gamzix named in its bonus terms. The library covers:
- Pokies: classic, video, hold-and-win and bonus-buy pokies, plus jackpots.
- Live casino: blackjack, roulette, baccarat and dice games.
- Table and instant games: RNG table games and crash games.
The terms say NetEnt games are blacklisted for Australia and Amatic games are restricted, so some well-known titles are missing. Check the RTP in each pokie’s info screen, and see our guide to the highest payout pokies.
What responsible gambling tools does SkyCrown have?
SkyCrown has a better set of tools than many offshore casinos. You can set daily, weekly or monthly deposit, loss and wager limits, a cooling-off period of 1 week to 6 months, and self-exclusion for 6 months, 9 months, 1 year or indefinitely. Deposit limits cannot always stop crypto deposits.
BetStop does not cover offshore casinos like SkyCrown, so if you need a break, set self-exclusion, withdraw your balance and install blocking software. Our guide on how to stop gambling lists the tools that work at offshore sites.
What should existing SkyCrown players do?
If you already have an account, the safest step is to withdraw your balance and stop depositing. These steps help:
- Check your details: your name and address must match your documents.
- Verify straight away: upload ID, proof of address and proof of payment, and keep your phone number up to date.
- Wager each deposit three times: to avoid a processing fee or refusal.
- Skip the bonus if you want flexibility: a bonus ties up your balance for 14 days.
- Withdraw in stages: stay within A$7,500 a day and A$15,000 a week.
- Do not abandon the account: dormancy fees start after 12 months.
How can you gamble responsibly at SkyCrown?
Gambling at SkyCrown should be a paid form of entertainment, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit, never chase losses and withdraw winnings rather than playing them again. If gambling stops being fun, Gambling Help Online offers free, confidential support 24/7 on 1800 858 858.
